If you have a Broadcom wireless card, such as BCM43xxx, using the brcmsmac driver, it is possible that the connection will not be stable. This is due to a bug in the brcmsmac driver that causes problems with WPA2 Enterprise networks. The solution is to use the (unfortunately) non-free wl or b43 wireless drivers instead.
