Web Based Training

  • trying to find a vendor to provide training for things like Office and Adobe
  • A contract is not finalized yet
  • Working to roll this out on all 3 campuses
  • Hopefully closed next week
  • for all faculty, staff, and students
  • don’t have to be on campus to use it

Identity Management Project

  • received funding
  • working to put together teams
  • 1 person = 1 identity = all your access
  • 2-4 year project starting in Jan 2012
  • website is coming
  • looking for input

Business Process improvement

  • came from ARR report
  • Kelly Block is leading this
  • running cohorts of 20 through training
  • 60 people have gone through
  • more training to come for anyone

Box.net pilot

  • going through Internet2
  • we are an early adopter group, gives us some advantages
  • in pilot stage, looking for folks to test
  • basically dropbox but with better security
  • exact quotas have not been decided
  • will probably replace netfiles
