This is a quick 3-minute video demonstrating how to use a Lync Online Meeting to record a session.

Notes:

You can make your own meeting and invite only yourself if you want.
To make a podcast, just connect to the meeting and don’t share your screen.
To make a screen sharing video, use the Share feature to share a particular program, a PowerPoint presentation, or your whole screen.
(I shared the whole screen in this video to make sure that you’d see everything I saw while setting it up. For an actual presentation, you’d probably want to share just PowerPoint or a particular program.)

This particular video was recorded in Jing, because you can’t really use Lync to record the process of starting Lync (you get caught in the chicken or egg recursion problem).
