Community-developed IllinoisNet (WPA2) configurations

info

This page is for IllinoisNet Wireless configurations, which allow you to connect to the WPA2-secured campus wireless network. You might also be interested in the Community-developed VPN configurations, which allow you to connect securely to the campus network from off-campus networks and from non-secured wireless networks.

Post your Linux and smartphone IllinoisNet configurations here

The CITES Help Desk officially supports Windows and Mac users, but doesn’t have enough equipment to support all the flavors of Unix, Linux, and smartphones that the campus community runs.

This page allows the campus community to gather up our configuration notes for Unix/Linux operating systems and smartphones. Anyone with a Linux variant or a smartphone can contribute to this page.

Posting guidelines

In the alphabetical list below, create a page for your system by enclosing “IllinoisNet Wireless -” and the version name in brackets (for example, [IllinoisNet Wireless – SomeVersionOf Linux 3.0].

A red link will appear when you save the page.

Click the red link to create your page, add your notes in the new page, and save it. When you return to this index page, your link will be blue and active.

(Creating subpages for each OS will allow us to keep the comment threads associated with the particular system they apply to.)
